Working As Intended

As you can see in my lovely update on my guild’s website (Halcyon Affinity), we found a lil ole dragon all the way at the bottom of Stiirhad, a tier 3 raid area. For those that don’t know, Stiirhad isn’t even suppose to raid-ready for another two months (don’t quote me on that, quote Dave Gilbertson of Sigil Games Online). Even if you don’t dig Vanguard, you gotta give Sigil a round of applause for making a fantastic looking dragon model.

Since I hit level 50 in Vanguard and farmed a good chunk of level 50+ rare/heroic/legendary gear, I’ve been enjoying a thing called Life. I’ve been able to talk to old friends, play Magic: the Gathering (how I missed ye), and even “chill” and go out with buddies. Am I still playing Vanguard? Yep! Just taking a breather since I fly through 1-50 and farmed some gear.

I also think I am going to try to pick up the guitar. I played the bass many years ago, so I may just fiddle around on that to get warmed up. In all honesty I just wanna play something. No matter what I do on the computer, I have music going. It doesn’t matter if I am checking e-mail or talking to people on Ventrilo. I need music to be on, I enjoy it too much. And because I do not have the luxery of a MP3 player in my car, I get to cycle through about ~30 CDs in my car.

Blah, time for sleep…

Well, on March 12th, somewhere around 4am CST I managed to hit level 50 in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. I was the first Ranger to 50 on Florendyl and about the 12th worldwide (not 100% sure on that, VGPlayers is so iffy at the moment).

The last week I’ve been taking it easy and taking it slow. Farming some stuff in level 50 areas when I can. But mostly I am figuring out what I want to do with my life. I am trying to finish this concept adventure document to submit to Sigil, but like most of my work I am trying to make it “perfect” and am spending too much time on things that don’t really matter. I suppose that is my weakness. I really need to ship the thing with 98% satisfacted, and not spending months (which I do not have) trying to get 100%. Hrm, would that be good to mention in an interview if I were to ever get one with Sigil? Good question my friends…

Vanguard Rangers is currently picking up traffic again after I spent most of Thursday and Friday updating the database with new code and data by hand. It is so fun! On Monday’s patch there will be some Ranger changes, so I need to hop on to Test and adjust a few things before hand.

You would think being a jobless bum would give you more time, but it doesn’t. Whenever I find myself in a situation I need to peel myself away from the computer, something comes up. It is rediculous!

Hopefully my next post is a little bit more productive and entertaining. Yar!
